true Son of Texas, Patrick S.
Wedding was bred, born, &
raised in the wind swept plains
of the Texas Panhandle. He graduated
from Kress High School in 1976,
& received a B.S. History
& Education in 1980 from Wayland
Baptist College in Plainview,
Texas.
Patrick
started his career with the
Boy Scouts in 1981 & has served
in various staff positions including
District Executive, Senior Exploring
Executive, District Director,
Program Director, Endowment
Director, Director of Finance
& now Scout Executive. His
career has taken him from Sweetwater
& Wichita Falls, Texas to
Santa Fe & Albuquerque, New
Mexico, back to Amarillo down
to San Antonio & now San Angelo.
Several
recognitions have come Patrick's
way. A few of these include:
Vigil Honor, James E. West Fellowship
Award, National Endowment Excellence
Award, & the Fellowship Circle.
He is a member of the
Association of Professional
Fundraisers & Rotary.
Over
the years he has served been
an advisor to council operating
committees on finance, public
relations, training, membership,
relationships, activities &
civic service. Patrick
has also been an advisor to
council special project committees
for Family FOS, Wood Badge,
Fall Roundup, Jamboree, Scouting
for Food, Product Sales, Golf
Tournaments as well as an Alpha
Phi Omega chapter.
Patrick
is married to Cheryl. Yes,
they met in Scouting. Their
son, Stephen, an Eagle Scout,
is awaiting recall into the
U.S. Army. They attend the Episcopal
