A
Council New Year Resolution:
We
continue to have a great need for Unit Commissioners. Without active Unit
Commis- sioners the unit’s needs cannot be met. I said it before and I’ll say it
again; Not having good Unit Commissioners is like trying to screw a light bulb into a socket in the dark!
The
District Committee and staff no matter how good they are will soon be burnt out
if they try to do
it all. Without Unit Commissioners the Units will
not get all of the advantages of knowing what the rest of us have planned.
Please volunteer and support your local District Commissioner. Our units need
your help; and by helping them you “help other people”.
There
will be a Commissioner Basic Training Course offered at the University of
Scouting. I encourage anyone
interested in helping our units survive to attend this training and become
actively involved as a Unit Commissioner.
