A Council New Year Resolution: We are fortunate to have a 7% growth in membership for 2004. However, there is one area of improvement that is greatly needed. This is in the area of Unit Commissioners. We can have the greatest District Commissioners; but without active Unit Commissioners, the Councils' goals cannot be accomplished. Not having good Unit Commissioners is like trying to screw a light bulb into a socket in the dark! The District Commissioner no matter how good he is will soon be burnt out as he tries to do it all. Without Unit Commissioners the Units will not get all of the advantages of knowing what the rest of us have planned. Please volunteer and support your local District Commissioner. These Commissioners need your help; and by helping Them you “help other people”. |
