Good Turn for America
Tell Us About Your Service Projects

Investment

Friends of Scouting like you have been coming forward this year to make themselves known. So many times in life we wonder how we can make a difference or how we can be heard above the crowd. Joining with others that believe in the values of Scouting is a very important way to meet these objectives. Providing training to new leaders, camperships to needy scouts, insurance to youth and adult members, processing Eagle Scout applications all make the mission of Scouting achievable. All these services and countless program features are made possible by Friends of Scouting like you.

If by some chance no one has asked you to be a Friend of Scouting then please consider this a request. Please take a moment to contact the Council Office by calling 655-7107/ 800-321-7107 or by e-mail to get the details on becoming a Friend of Scouting today. As a Friend of Scouting you will provide the resources to change the lives of 4,000 young people in 2006. A very good return on your commitment no doubt.

We want to hear about your Good Turn Projectct you have done in the last several months. We know that Scouts across the nation are answering the call to service. Tell the story of how your den, pack, patrol, troop, team, crew, or ship is contributing to this effort. Go to the www.goodturnforamerica.org website and log in using your units login.

We have included your unit’s log in code in the Program Preview Packet or you can call the council office and ask Barbara for it again. Every Project you do can be added to the website. If you need help in inputting your hours, please call or stop by the Council office and we will help you.

Clay Bird Shoot (continued from Page 1)

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meal will be sponsored and provided by Pack Saddle Bar-B-Que.

Also, a shotgun or shopping spree from the Outdoorsman will be presented for each 10 shooters regardless of score. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

We always plan for a sell-out, so pre-registration is suggested. In the event that registration is still open on Saturday morning, we will register shooters on a first come, first served basis. Please help us to better plan for this even by pre-registering.

Please come and join us in making the real winners of this event the Scouts from all over Southwest Texas. Registration forms are available at the Council office or on-line.
