Chief
Scout Executive’s Winners’ Circle For
the first time in three years all three districts and thus the entire
council will be recognized by the National Council for this achievement.
Simply put, more young people stayed in the program (retention is
up), more young people joined (total membership is up) and more
dollars were donated (Friends of Scouting is up). All of these indicators
are compared to this time a year ago.
Amistad
District will be further recognized as an "Above and Beyond"
achiever. This is due to growth in all three traditional programs
of Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing plus significant growth
in Friends of Scouting. Breakfasts in Carrizo Springs raising over
$16,000 (first time effort) and Uvalde raising over $21,000 sure
helped in a big way.
You
realize that no success happens in a vacuum. Take a moment
to thank and congratulate those volunteers in your district that
made this happen.

Their
success, is your success, is our success. If after that you
have a moment give your District Executive a call too. Thank you
for all your efforts to provide a rewarding Scouting experience
to the youth in your unit. It is truly appreciated.
