In August, we will Kickoff the fall season with our Program Preview at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church on August 9th, 2007. Program Preview night will highlight all of the years upcoming activities. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity for all unit leaders to find out all about what the District has planned. Popcorn Kickoff on August 16th, 2007 at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church will be an excellent opportunity to engage new adult leaders on the Adventure on Scout Fundraising (Popcorn Sales). Learn all about new prizes, commissions, and popcorn selling incentives. This event is for adults only. Finally, we will have a campout at San Angelo Colts Stadium on August 18th. Yes, folks it is Scout Game night at the ballpark. Dinner, Ballgame, Baseball, and Breakfast a win all the way around with this event. Don’t miss the excitement. Tickets available at the Council Office. Fall recruitment will take place once school starts again. Units should be ready for a membership rally to take place at thier local school. Stay in touch with your unit serving executive to plan and prepare for the arrival of new boys. Build your unit by recruiting new kids, join scouting today. I will need assistance in completing a successful campaign. After we get new leaders recruited from our recruitment drive they will be ready for some training. District Training Dates will take place on September 22nd, 2007 and October 27th, 2007. Send all untrained unit leaders to the District training events. Our District Training Team will be contacting you soon, so sign up now to attend the next training event.
