Centennial Quality Unit Awards is the new way to honor units for doing a good job. In order to qualify for this award you must schedule a meeting with your District Executive. Every unit needs to establish goals for the 2007 year by talking with your District Executive before the end of January. Call today to start the Centennial Quality Unit Award process. Thank you to all the units that I have already met with me (Pack 313, Pack 4, Pack 20, Pack 12).

Permian Basin District

As we start a New Year, I would like to thank each and every Volunteer of the Permian Basin District for a job well done last year! Your support and efforts made its presence shown at Council in our Membership numbers, Friends of Scouting Contributions, and Popcorn Sales. Thank you one and all for your support, it is greatly appreciated.

I would like to send out a special congratulation to this years District Award of Merit recipient, John Fluth. John has contributed to the Boy Scout Program for over 25 Years and is currently the Permian Basin’s District Commissioner. John has taken on many task’s for the Permian Basin that most would run from. His belief in the Boy Scouts has allowed him to give so greatly to the Boy Scout Program. John serves as the Pastor at the Ozona Methodist Church in Ozona. This year I suppose it was not enough to honor John with the District of Merit Award alone. He is also a recipient for this year’s Silver Beaver Award.
