Daniel
L. Anderson ENTREPRENEUR Daniel L. Anderson has spent his career providing towers for various communication and other industrial uses all across North America. He has been involved in all levels of Scouting from the den or patrol to the Council Board. This dedication spans four decades. His Scouting leadership positions have included: Webelos Den Leader, Pack Committee Chairman, Scoutmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Tiger Cub Coordinator, Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Council Executive Board and Council Commissioner. Units chartered by Trinity, Lakeview and St. Luke’s United Methodist Churches, Chadbourne North Church of Christ and Cornerstone Christian School have all benefited from his service. This dedication to youth has been recognized with the District Award of Merit in 2000 and the Faithful Servant Award from the Church of Christ. He has also received Scouter’s Training Award, Webelos Den Leader Award and the Wood Badge beads. He is a Brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow Wahinkto Lodge #199 Beyond Scouting, he has been active in Lion’s Club and YMCA football. He had also served on a number of city appointed committees and industry association boards. Daniel and his wife Deborah have two grown children. Both of them were very involved in Scouting. His son is an Eagle Scout with multiple Eagle Palms. |

A. Fluth PASTOR John A. Fluth has been involved in Scouting for nearly forty years since joining Pack 106 in Lampasas. He became an Eagle Scout in Troop 36 in San Angelo.He served as the Range Officer at Camp Fawcett. From being a Boy Scout John continued to live up to the Scout Oath and Law during his college career as member of Alpha Phi Omega, the national Scouting/ service fraternity. He has served the Permian Basin District as a District Chairman and District Commissioner. Prior to this he has given leadership as the Council Advancement Chair of the Three Rivers Council and as an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 360 in the Venado District of the former Gulf Coast Council.Currently he serves as the Chartered Organization Representative for Pack and Troop 153 in Ozona, Texas. Professionally, John serves as the pastor of the Ozona United Methodist Church.In 2005 he completed a Master of Divinity from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Additionally he serves at the Spiritual Director of the Epiphany Youth Prison Ministry. His service to others includes serving as the Senior Chaplain for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ozona Masonic Lodge # 747 and the Ozona Lion’s Club.John was also an Olympic Torch Bearer in 1996. John and his wife, Martye have three sons. All are Scouts. |
Gary
D. Cox COMMUNITY LEADER – FINANCIER – ROTARIAN Gary D. Cox, a native Texan, has spent over a decade as a member of the Executive Board of the Concho Valley Council. During these years he has served on committees for numerous Distinguished Citizen Dinners, Claybird Shootouts and Friends of Scouting campaigns. Among the offices he has held include: Treasurer, Vice-President of Financial Development, Council President in 2002 and most recently as Amangi Trail District Chair the past two years. His full-time office is as President of Texas Bank a position he has held since 1991. Besides Scouting, Gary takes time to support numerous other community organizations. He is a member and Past President of the Sunshine Rotary Club. Currently he is the 2007 Chair of the Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the President’s Foundation at ASU and the board of the San Angelo Area Foundation. He has been President and Campaign Chair of the United Way of the Concho Valley. He co-chaired the YMCA Capital Campaign. He has served on the selection committees for the YMCA, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, ASU School of Business and the Concho Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America Gary and his wife, Linda are also active members at Glen Meadows Baptist Church. They have two sons and one daughter. Gary enjoys his time in the outdoors hunting or four wheeling. |
