What
a great time for the entire Family.
Family Camp for this Spring is scheduled
for May 12 & 13, 2007. Don’t
miss this fun weekend. This weekend
is for Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Webelos
Scouts and their families. The
event is held at Camp Sol Mayer,
near Fort McKavett. The Council
office will be mailing flyers to
all registered Cub Scouts.
The
mud pit, obstacle run, climbing
wall, archery, BB guns, outdoor
games, paddle boats, campfire, worship
service, camping, and much more
is waiting for you. We need a Camp
Director and Staff for the event.
Troops and Crews are invited to
help on staff. Call the council

May
5th and 6th, will kickoff the council Cub Camping season with a
Cub Scout Mom N’ Me. Filled with fun and excitement for any Cub
Scout mom and son. The Mom N’ Me campout will be held at Camp Sol
Mayer on the first weekend in May.
Please
be on the alert for more details coming to your unit leader soon.

2008
COUNCIL PHILMONT CONTINGENT Now
is the time to make plans to attend Philmont in 2008. The Council
has reserved two crews for the summer of 2008 for our council. Applications
for the Contingent Adult Leader and Crew Advisors are now being
accepted. If you, any of your adult leaders, or youth members are
interested in attending, please visit the council website at www.cvcbsa.org
and download the 2008 Philmont Info Flyer, an adult application,
and youth application. We will be limited to 24 participants in
two crews for 2008. The cost for the 2008 crew is $750. This fee
is all inclusive including a t-shirt, food, transportation costs,
the Philmont fee, and much more. For more information, call or email

with the first payment (non-refundable) of $100 due with the application.

The
Amangi Trail District would like to Thank and recognize all volunteers
that have been attending the roundtables over the last couple of
months. A great thanks goes to Mike & Sarabeth Erickson and
Frank Berthold for helping to prepare and execute a wonderful District
Banquet. Please help the District congratulate all of the past District
Committee Members of 2006. The District would also like to recognize
all of the 2006 unit leadership in the Amangi Trail District. Robert
Sherrod, Martin Wright, Tyler Coplen, Hunter Kinyon, and Caleb Fowler
top popcorn salesman for the district. Top selling units for popcorn
are as follows Pack 14, Pack 375, Pack 20, and Pack 22. Congratulations
to District award of recipients Rhonda Sherrod, Dave and Melissa
Schreiner. Amangi Trail Blazers for 2006 were Bo Strickland and
Keith Mahler. Thank you to all who participated in the District
Banquet and congratulations to all who received an award.
