Do I have the Right Stuff?
Many things go into providing a quality Scouting experience. Some of these items seem rather mundane but are not less important to the success of the program. Listed below are a few of the things that are needed everyday to keep services going in support of chartered organizations, units and volunteer leaders.
Office supplies:
Reams of white paper, stick ink pens, whiteboard markers, & permanent markers.
Building supplies:
Fluorescent light blubs, standard light blubs, spotlight blubs, PVC cement, & PVC pipe.
Vehicle supplies:
Tires, car washes, antifreeze, diesel fuel, & gasoline.
Program Supplies:
Shotgun shells, Clay pigeons, Arrows, B-B’s, & Sisal Rope
Paper goods: Paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, styrofoam cups, & plastic cups.
Animal supplies:
Hay, dry dog food, saddle blankets, & horse tack
These are just some of the things that could be used instead of Friends of Scouting dollars to further the cause of Scouting. If you have these supplies to share please feel free to call the Council Office or your District Executive.

Will and Vacation
Would you consider going on a vacation trip without some advance planning? Selecting the destination and travel itinerary, making the needed reservations, choosing the appropriate clothing and notifying friends or neighbors of your plans are important elements of a pleasant vacation experience.
One item that many people overlook is the need to review your will prior to departing for vacation. Has your family situation, or other factors, changed such they would warrant the appropriate changes in your will?
Many people find it difficult to face their own mortality. As a result, they put off doing something that could greatly benefit the people and organizations they love and who rely upon them. Preparing for the future and protecting your loved ones is an important way to apply the Boy Scout Motto, "Be Prepared". This small investment in time will insure that your desires with respect to family, friends, and worthy organizations like Scouting will be carried out.

How do I get a cash refund from the Scout Shop if I need to return something?

Proper accounting procedures do not provide for these transactions. However, here are the steps to take in order to receive your money.
- Request must be made within 90 days of the purchase date found on the sales receipt.
- Returned items must have original sales receipt, original tags and have not been worn or used.
- A written request must be submitted along with the customer’s name, address, phone number, e-mail address and reason for return.
A check will be issued to the customer, within two weeks after the written request is approved.

How do I get information about my unit’s account?
|
| |
Any authorized user of a unit account may request a detailed print out of the account at any time. This report can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to any authorized user. Of course an authorized user can always pick up this report in person at the Council Office.

How does our unit designate users of our unit’s account at the Scout Shop?
|
| |
Your unit may change the authorized users at anytime. A simple postcard size form signed by the Committee Chair tells the Scout Shop who is and maybe more important who is not allowed access to the unit’s funds held in that account.
