We have an exciting jam packed season ahead of us. The next four months of scouting will be loaded with plenty of activities, trainings, committee meetings and much more. The Amangi Trail District Committee strives to provide an outstanding scouting experience for all units and its members.

In November, we will have Popcorn Distribution. The pickup point for the district will be at the Glazer Warehouse(Coors), on Saturday November 10th from 8am-12 noon. We all hope you enjoyed selling, and congratulations to all the top sellers and the $10,000 units. Also, in November we will be sending two of our finest District Volunteers to Training at Camp Strake for Day Camp School. Thank you, Vonnie and Diane for all your hard work. The Weekend of November 2nd and 3rd will be a lot of fun for our Commissioner Staff as they will be heading to Sol Mayer to learn about how to become a better commissioner. Commissioners are volunteers who help units when they need help. Strive for Quality Unit Recognition.Schedule a meeting today with your unit serving executive to go over the Quality Unit Recognition form. November is recharter month, DON'T forget to pick up your units recharter packet at the November Roundtable. Meet new people and discuss scouting leader to leader at the District Roundtable meeting. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity for all unit leaders to find out all about what the District has planned.

Send your untrained unit leaders to the District training events. To see if you still need training contact your unit serving executive. Our District Training Team will be contacting you soon so sign up now to attend the next Training function. December is full of program. The University of Scouting will be a great opportunity to have a first hand look at some specific unit training. Learn new skills and ways to increaseattendance at your Blue and Gold Banquet.

Find the missing link between your Chartered Organization, Committee Chairman, and Unit Leader. Don't miss this wonderful chance to have a new kind of training experience. The upcoming program events for the Amangi Trail District will be the Good Turn for America Food Drive on January 26, 2008. Be sure to add all of your unit's service time to the Good Turn for America website and recognize those boys who deserve it. Please remember to attend the December Roundtable. All Unit Pinewood Derby Chairman must be present at this meeting to hear important information and detailed changes about this years District Derby Race. The race will be held at Jim Bass Ford on Saturday, March 29, 2008. Be sure to attend the December Roundtable to learn more. (More continued on page 11.)
