Patricio Ramos

Uvalde, Texas

FATHER

YOUTH ADVOCATE

     Patricio L. Ramos was not the first Scout leader in his home. His wife, Linda Ramos, volunteered first then got him interesting in “just helping out sometimes.” Patricio credits his involvement in Scouting to her. Patricio spends his work life making sure the local schools are great places to learn through his work with the Physical Plant Department of the Uvalde School District. He has been involved at various levels of Scouting from the den or troop to the district.

His Scouting leadership positions have included: Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, and Crew Committee member. Pat’s work with Scouting is also directly tied to his church. Both Pack 346 and Troop 346 are chartered to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He also has served on staffs at both Webelos Woods and Family Camp. Additionally he currently serves as a member of the Committee for Crew 199 chartered to the Wahinkto Lodge #199 and on the Amistad District Activities and Civic Service Committee.

This dedication to youth has been recognized with the District Award of Merit in 2005. He has also received Scouter’s Training Award and Webelos Den Leader Award. He is a Brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow and is very active with the Kittan Chapter of Wahinkto Lodge #199. One adventure that Patricio will remember for a lifetime is being one of the Assistant Scoutmasters for the Concho Valley Council’s Jamboree Contingent in 2005.

Beyond Scouting, he has been active with anything and everything that involves his family or his sons, two of which are Eagle Scouts with multiple palms.

 


Tim B. Lee

Crane, Texas


LAB TECHNICIAN
EMERGENCY WORKER
BAND BOOSTER

     Tim B. Lee has been involved in Scouting for nearly twenty years since joining Pack 157 in Crane as an Assistant Den Leader. Since then his leadership roles have included: Den Leader, Assistant Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and District Committee member. He is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow Wahinkto Lodge #199.

He has served as the Scoutmaster of Troop 57 chartered to the Crane Noon Lion’s Club for a decade. Most years the majority of his vacation days are taken to get the troop to summer camp. This dedication was recognized by the Permian Basin District in 1998 when he received the District’s highest honor, the District Award of Merit. Tim has also worked on the Day Camp Staff.

Professionally, Tim is a Lab Technician at Medical Center Hospital. He also is a member of the MCH Hazardous Materials Response team.

His service to others includes being a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician-B with the Crane Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Crane High School Band Boosters as a Vice President and Program Director.

Tim and his wife Pam, have a
daughter and two sons. One is an Eagle Scout and the other is still working to follow in his older brother’s footsteps.

 


Frank N. Berthold

San Angelo, Texas


PASTOR
SCOUTER
ROARING LION

     Frank N. Berthold has been a volunteer in both ends of the Concho Valley Council. He started as a Den Leader with Pack 484 chartered to the Zavala County Memorial VFW Post #2156 in La Pryor, Texas. Currently he serves as an Assistant District Commissioner in the Amangi Trail District.

During his Scouting tenure in La Pryor Frank served as a Webelos Den Leader and Cubmaster. Upon arriving in San Angelo, he became immediately re-involved. He went on to serve the Amangi Trail District as a Unit Commissioner, District Commissioner, Committee member and Camporee Chairman.

Frank is the pastor of the Chadbourne North Church of Christ. Even at work, he is Scouting. Chadbourne North Church of Christ charters both Troop 5 and Pack 349. Of course, he serves as the Chartered Organization Representative.

His numerous Scouting accolades include: Cubmaster Award, Boy Scout Training Award, Commissioner’s Key, Arrowhead Honor, and the District Award of Merit. Additionally he is a James E. West Fellow and a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow Wahinkto Lodge #199.

His service to others includes being the Chaplain for District 2-A Lion’s Club International. As a Lion, Frank was the President of the North Angelo Lion’s Club.

Frank and his wife, Kathy are the parents of two sons. Both are Eagle Scouts.
