The Sol Mayer
Ranch is
RAGE ing
again!
The summer of 2001
will mark our 5th year of operation for the R.A.G.E. (Ranch Adventure Grande
Experience). Participants from all over Texas will be back in the saddle
again for a summer of fun and adventure on the 8,100 acre Sol Mayer Ranch.
Unlike many summer camp programs, the RAGE is a hands-on program that literally
immerses participants in the lifestyle of ranching. RAGE participants live
in bunkhouses on the ranch, gather eggs for breakfast, learn to shoot large
caliber rifles, black powder guns and shotguns, hunt varmints, go on all
day-all night trail rides, learn to round-up cattle and goats, learn to
rope and ride, spend the night at historic Ft. McKavett and much, much
more.
Fees for the
2001 RAGE are $225.00 and reservations need to be made as we can accommodate
only 25 participants a week. Weeks of operation will be June3-9, June 10-16,
June 17-23, and June 24-30. For more information contact David Chapman
at (915)655-7107 or (800)321-7107.
