We will be conducting training in Ft. Stockton and Sonora on an alternating schedule beginning in Sep with Ft. Stockton and the following month in Sonora.  This will be conducted on the second Thursday of the month.  This is a great time to get ideas for running Pack and Troop meetings and to reenergize.

This will be an excellent opportunity for Dad’s to spend with their son’s and will prove to be an outstanding chance for memories to be made.  We will be promoting Where The West Is Fun as our theme and we will see Cowboys and Indians out on the range.  So bring your Cowboy hats and boots and get ready for a time to remember.  Contact the Council office to make your reservations @ 655-7107 or  1(800)321-7107.  We will see you there.
 

The district would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to make the Del Rio & Eagle Pass Cub Fun Days an enjoyable experience for our Cub Scout boys!

Our fall Scout recruitment drive is now upon us, and we are gearing up to conduct our school rallies.  This is the time when we give every boy in every school in our districts a chance to join the Boy Scouts of America and experience all the wonderful opportunities and adventures our organization has to offer!  This is also the time we recruit new adult leaders who are so vital to the success of our program, so, lets go all out to make our school rallies a success this fall!

This years Mom N’ Me held at Camp Sol Mayer was a Circus of Fun for over 700 Moms and Cub Scouts. Activities included canoeing, archery, BB gun, obstacle course, fishing, and of course the infamous Mud Pit. The weekend concluded with a campfire program followed by a night under the stars and breakfast at the Dining Hall. Special thanks go out to Event Chairs Tom and Stacey Webb and all the volunteer staff who made this event possible.

Once again it's time to break out the popcorn popper or microwave and cook up some Trails End popcorn.  The  Unit Popcorn Informational Meetings will be held at the following Cub and Scout Roundtables in October:

Make sure your Cub Scout pack, Troop, Crew, or Post has a representative at one of these important meetings to pick up your unit popcorn packet and catch up on the latest info on Trails End Weaver Popcorn.  This is a great way to make some serious money to help your unit operations.
