Summer and Scout Camp are almost here !  By now your son may have told you about Scout Camp and his Troop's 2008  Summertime plans !  The "outing" of a week at Summer Camp is what Scouting is all about and we hope that his Troop will be attending Scout Camp.  If not, this letter will share with you the "Maverick Camp" opportunities for your son.

Based on requests from parents and Scouts, we are organizing provisional or "Maverick Troops" composed of  Scouts throughout the council.  These opportunities will assist you just in case your son's unit is not camping this summer or your vacation plans coincide with camping plans or if your son is like many Scouts who desire another week in Camp !
